In our last outing for our beginner 101 students, we decided to employ the 'photography problem' solutions to real life practical scenes (with a bit of off camera lighting). The goal of this was to add a little more excitement and purpose to the shoots than previously had been done. Needless to say it was a great success for everyone. We were able to work through exposure and camera workflows but also analyze details of body language, expressions, perspective and offer real time critiquing on how to move forward.
We've now expressly taken steps to ensure that future outings will take this form. Thanks to Damon Aboud, our model for the afternoon, and Maxime Claveau who is a passionate photographer with a drive to always seek improvements.
